I am a list person. I accept it. I roll with it. I don't try and hide it and I definatly take advantage of it.

So I started writing down the things I actually wanted to do I quite surprised myself with what I came up with.

Some of it is silly stuff that just never happened because I was too sick to do it. But its about time I worked up the enthusiasm to get on with it.

So I got started over the weekend and one thing is now crossed off. Going to journal some of the list. Not all, some are too silly to share, even here.

Go to North head and explore the tunnels

Havn't been in years. Last time would have been with my brother, I would have been about 8? Still remember the pics of us perched on the big gun. Nice memories actually. It was one of the advantages of having older siblings who could drive.

Was a lovely day, silly day to be walking around on a mountain, but nice to be in the caves and tunnels.
View of the city. Was enjoying sitting on the grass so isn't a brilliant pic.
The harbour was really busy. The Louis Vitton Pacific Series was on. Looked like a p (?) class one.  View is of Mototapu, look how dry it is looking.

I remember the gun being bigger, a different colour too. I guess all things change.

There was a wedding on the side overlooking the harbour. (this was really funny - half the guests were wandering the hill trying to find it. Had them all calling out to each other. Hope the bride knew where she was going!)

There were a couple boats playing around. Thought they were part of the proper racing but turns out they were both NZ's. Practicing I guess.

This is the actually race that was on. Between NZ and Alinghi . Well not much of a race. Alinghi was protesting the collision rules and refused to race. So NZ went up and down by themselves. I guess they won.

One set of the tunnels has been tidied up and labelled with more information. Just my thing. This pic is of a lamp corridor. The windows back onto ammunition storage rooms. The lights were separated by glass to stop any sparking of the explosive kind! The corridors were so they could maintain the lamps. The ammunition people had to have special clothing, without any metal to prevent sparking.
